Reform can occur in all areas, including in education. This is promising reform era, the challenges and opportunities, but there are still many who question the expectations, challenges and opportunities in education reform. From various reports, the very economic crisis has adversely affected the performance of our education, ranging from the high school dropout to the ability of parents to participate to provide facilities and teaching resources (books) are also declining. Creativity or improvisation in the direction of innovation is very difficult because of national education systems tend to obey the central government. Our education system today are also still closed, so fertilize corruption and collusion. In the position is needed but is not considered, some teachers experienced stagnation, ie not able to develop creative teaching.
Education reform will materialize if the political reform of government that is able to produce phase and is able to absorb the aspirations to self-correct so that there is impetus for restructuring the education system and implement the ideals of education. Because it tends to keep the center and become a means of corruption, the reform of education should make room for the development of new paradigms to achieve a democratic civil society. Reform needs to be done to release too much intervention of the central government bureaucracy to the management of resources, funding and community participation. In addition, the Administration should be professional educational personnel to perform the function of regulatory and public services in the field of education organizing. Actually, the main factors that influence teaching style is a burden on teachers in bringing their students to obtain the best possible outcome and the burden of the curriculum to complete the syllabus that the target has been set. Therefore, education was developed globally, which is marked by a shift of the center point of education (learning) from educators to learners. With students acting as the central point, it will provide a broad and different implications than by placing educators as a central point.
Standards of education can certainly use an international benchmark. This can be developed through the realm of curriculum and syllabus, educational ability, readiness support facilities, supporting books, the language of instruction (English), national and international collaboration, recognition of trustworthy institutions, the number and quality of graduates.
